Dr. Clayton Schultz serves as the Director of The WEST Institute (Laramie, WY) where he is responsible for all aspects of site development, student discipleship, academic program implementation, and teaching courses in Practical Theology. The Lord laid the concept of The WEST Institute on Clayton’s heart while he attended seminary, and he worked with several individuals at Laramie Valley Chapel and Shepherds Theological Seminary to help bring the teaching site in Laramie into existence. Clayton has served as Director since the founding of The WEST Institute in 2010.

 

Clayton also serves as the Director of Operations and Cooperative Disciplines for Shepherds’ Department of Biblical Archaeology. Clayton helps with logistics concerning both personnel and excavations, including the coordination of our interdisciplinary partners.

 

Clayton is an ordained pastor and elder at Laramie Valley Chapel (Laramie, WY). He is passionate about teaching the Bible and helping individuals understand and apply God’s Word to their lives. To this end, Clayton directs the Bible Institute, a one-year Bible training program that reads the Bible cover to cover and challenges those in attendance to live out the truths of God’s Word.

 

Clayton and his wife, Molly, have two sons and two daughters.
