02 Jul Featured Course: TH715 Biblical Manhood and Womanhood
Our featured course for the Fall 2020 semester is TH715 Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, taught by Andreas and Margaret Kostenberger. Taking place on Wednesdays from 6pm to 9pm, TH715 is available for credit or audit at our standard rates (see tuition and fees here). Local students will attend in-person, whereas those not in the area or state can participate via Zoom.
This course is an introduction to the biblical teaching on men and women, including the uniqueness of their roles in the home and the church. It traces the biblical theology of marriage and the family through Scripture. Related topics addressed in addition include parenting, singleness, homosexuality, divorce and remarriage, and family requirements for church leaders. Students will develop a thorough grasp of the biblical teaching on manhood and womanhood in both Testaments, sharpen exegetical and hermeneutical skills in interpreting relevant scriptural passages on the subject, and develop a growing sense of their own calling as men or women in God’s plan for their lives and the church.
