Art Willis Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student demonstrating financial need, ministry abilities, and good academic standing, who is seeking a Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Church Ministry. It is in memory of Art Willis, who was blessed by the Lord, but unable to complete Bible college because of severe financial restrictions.

 

Beautiful Feet Scholarship in Pastoral Ministry

 

This scholarship was established to help a full-time student(s) who is preparing for full-time pastoral ministry upon graduation.

 

Benjamin Hamilton Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is awarded to a student(s) who demonstrates a financial need, ministry abilities and aspirations, and a good academic standing that will result in graduation.

 

Epperson Family Pastoral Scholarship

 

This scholarship was established to cover the tuition needs of an active Pastor who desires to complete his studies in any of our programs, one who is willing to continue his pastoral ministry while at the same time give ample time to finishing a degree at Shepherds Seminary. This scholarship requires continuous enrollment.

 

James F. Langley Memorial Scholarship

 

In loving memory of James F. Langley – a Christian gentleman, faithful husband, and loving father – this scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need, a desire to serve the Lord in full-time ministry, and a life of consistent Christian living in attitude and actions.

 

James Montgomery Boice Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is awarded to a Master of Divinity student who resides in Durham County during his graduate years. It is preferred that the student be from a family that has at least one other child in college or graduate school. The student must maintain at least a B average in classes taken.

 

Jane Lassiter Baker and Emma Lee Huggett Scholarship

 

It is the desire of Paul W. Baker Jr. and Deborah H. Baker to honor the lives of Jane Lassiter Baker and Emma Lee Huggett by providing financial and spiritual encouragement for students at Shepherds who are committed to vocational Christian ministry and service. This scholarship is awarded to a student with a commitment to a life of vocational ministry who has completed at least one semester, and is seeking the Master of Divinity or the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry while maintaining a 2.70 or higher GPA.

 

Master of Divinity Scholarship for Women

 

This scholarship is made available to help a female student who is seeking a Master of Divinity degree with a desire to further the cause of Christ in reaching women and discipling them.

 

Nate Davidson Memorial Scholarship

 

The family and friends of Nate Davidson desire to honor his life and Christian commitment by providing financial and spiritual encouragement for students at Shepherds who are committed to Christian ministry and service but are challenged financially and by life experiences.

 

Paul K. Jackson Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is awarded to a student who shows a heart for a teaching ministry. The namesake of this scholarship, Paul K. Jackson, had a heart for teaching and was the first professor of Old and New Testaments at the seminary, as well as Pastor of Adult Ministries at The Shepherd’s Church (formerly Colonial Baptist Church).

 

Pettegrew Scholarship

 

This scholarship fund was created to celebrate the ministry and impact of Dr. Larry Pettegrew, Research Professor of Theology at Shepherds Theological Seminary.

 

Timothy Scholarship in Ministry

 

This scholarship was made available to help a full-time married student who is preparing for full-time vocational ministry.

 

Tully M. Fletcher Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is awarded to a student who best demonstrates a spirit of compassion for the lost by the habitual practice of personal or church group evangelism. The namesake of this scholarship, Tully M. Fletcher III, had an intense interest in winning souls.

 

Shepherds Institute Scholarship

 

This scholarship is made available to help full-time Master of Theological Studies students who are participating in the one-year degree program at the Cary campus.
