Aaron Valdizan
Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages
and Global Ministry
Dr. Valdizan has a Bachelor of Music degree from Chapman University and a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and PhD in Old Testament studies from The Master’s Seminary. He has served as Adjunct Professor of TESOL at The Master’s University and continues to serve there as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies in the online degree program.
Dr. Valdizan also ministered in Asia for eleven years, where he was involved in teaching, preaching, church planting, and music ministry. While living overseas he also co-authored several English textbooks and taught at universities in South Korea and China. Prior to joining the faculty at Shepherds, Dr. Valdizan served with unfoldingWord, writing and editing open-access Bible translation resources. Those experiences have caused cross-cultural ministry and linguistics to become major parts of his life.
He and his wife, Ella, currently serve in the ESL ministry at The Shepherd’s Church and have two lively children. He is passionate about teaching the Biblical Languages, ministering to students, and being a catalyst for making disciples of all the nations.
