Don Rowe

Don Rowe — Class of 2028
Married to Melanie Rowe;
Two children: Jodi, Jessie
Where and how did you grow up?
I was raised in Northern Ontario, Canada on a small farm before moving to a mining town when I entered eighth grade. I attended the diploma program at Kawartha Lake Bible School following high school. I met my wife, Melanie, when I visited my Grandmother for Christmas dinner.
What life circumstances or situations did God use to create in you a desire for pastoral ministry?
I spent over 30 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. During that time our family moved across Canada several times. I have seen that men, especially young men, are being alienated from many churches which is a grave concern for the continued growth of the body of Christ. Without men being encouraged to grow in their faith they will not be prepared to lead their families nor the Church under God’s guidance.
How do you anticipate seminary helping you specifically to prepare for ministry?
Seminary will expose areas of my life which are not fully surrendered to the lordship of Christ. This will be the crucible which prepares my wife and I for whatever God has in store for our next season of life.
What kind of ministry, people group, or geographical area are you passionate about or planning to be involved in after graduating and why?
My wife and I are praying that God will lead us to where we can be of use to His Kingdom for His glory. I would like to help encourage men to grow in their faith and step into the roles that God has prepared for them. We will go wherever we are lead.
