The next Shepherds 360 Regional Fellowship meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2024 at Shepherds Theological Seminary.+
The topic for the day will be “Preaching the Life of Jesus.” The speaker will be Dr. Doug Bookman, professor at Shepherds Theological Seminary.
Dr. Bookman is well-known to us and many have taken classes from him. He is an expert on the life of Christ and is passionate about pastors and churches understanding the life and events of Christ’s earthly ministry. Since the date of this meeting on April 15 will be the Tuesday after Palm Sunday / the Tuesday before Easter, it will be the perfect time for you to consider what Dr. Bookman has to share.
Dr. Bookman serves as Professor of Old / New Testament and Bible Exposition. He completed his MDiv and ThM at Central Baptist Theological Seminary, and his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Bookman joined the Shepherds faculty in 2009. He also enjoys leading numerous study trips to the biblical lands, which includes an annual trip specifically designed for STS students. This love for the biblical lands has made him an important contributor to the STS Department of Archaeology, where he functions as a field geographer of sorts, explaining how the land and text work together to tell the full narrative of Scripture.
