Joshua Fuller — Class of 2027
Where and how did you grow up?
I grew up in a tourist town called Page, Arizona. I tell people, the Grand Canyon was in my backyard. I am a second generation believer and attended church when I was a child.
What life circumstances or situations did God use to create in you a desire for pastoral ministry?
Growing up on the reservation, I saw firsthand what Navajo people go through. The despair and pessimism that they carry. I want to be able to carry that burden and showing them hope.
How do you anticipate seminary helping you specifically to prepare for ministry?
Essentially the seminary is teaching me about church polity. Along with hermeneutics and homiletics, I am learning how a pastor biblically stewards God’s church, any church.
What kind of ministry, people group, or geographical area are you passionate about or planning to be involved in after graduating and why?
After I finish this program, I intend on returning to Arizona and serving my people which are the Navajo People. I am hoping to be a teacher or pastor among that group and carry out my days equipping and serving the saints.
