Brett Ingalls
Director of Advancement
As the Director of Advancement, Brett is responsible for the strategy, management, and execution of all Shepherds development efforts. He can be contacted at bingalls@shepherds.edu or at 919-573-1559.
Brett earned his Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry with a minor in Public Speaking from Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC, in 2003. Following his graduation, he earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies in 2005. He is currently enrolled in the MDiv program at Shepherds.
Upon the completion of his degrees, Brett and his wife had the opportunity to travel the country on a drama team while leading collegians, representing his alma mater, and visiting 46 of the 50 states. He then served as an Associate Pastor in California for 5 years, growing in his skills as a preacher, teacher, administrator, and small-group leader. Following his time in California, Brett and his wife relocated to Cary, NC, where he excelled in his work at Hendrick Toyota of Apex, starting as a sales professional and later being promoted to a successful role as finance manager. He then joined the team of franchise owners at The N2 Company, launching and managing two local publications, building relationships with over 200 small businesses, earning multiple promotions, and personally recruiting and coaching a roster of other franchise owners across the nation.
He currently serves as both a deacon and Adult Bible Fellowship teacher at The Shepherd’s Church where he helps lead a class of around 25 couples.
Brett and his wife Liz have been married since 2003 and are parents to four sons: Noah, Asher, Luke, and Seth. Brett enjoys any and all sports, old books, hiking and traveling with his family, and a really good cup of coffee.
