PLACEMENT RESOURCES FOR GRADUATES

Resumé Assessment

In addition to the sample resumé provided below, we will review and assess the organization, content, and quality of a graduate’s resumé. We will then offer recommendations and/or critiques along with suggestions for effective resumé-building. To submit your resumé for assessment, please contact the Placement Resources Office.

Interview Development

Graduates who are canvasing open ministry positions can obtain guidance and direction on how to prepare for the interview process. We will review pertinent interview topics, including important questions to ask and how to research a church before interviewing there. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Placement Resources Office.

Personal Consultation

Shepherds’ Director of Church Relations Dr. Les Lofquist is available to meet personally with graduating students and answer any questions they may have in regard to placement, church selection, and other areas of ministry candidacy. Dr. Lofquist highly values this ministry to students, and he draws from God’s Word and from his ministry experience in providing counsel. He most recently served as Executive Director of IFCA International, a position he held for twenty years, and has also served as a church planter in Utah, a Bible College professor, a visiting seminary professor, and a senior pastor. Dr. Lofquist can be contacted for an appointment at llofquist@shepherds.edu.
