President Stephen Davey Receives DTS Alumni Award

Stephen Davey (STM, Dallas Theological Seminary) has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 DTS Alumni Distinguished Service Award. He is the Founder and President of Shepherds Theological Seminary, Pastor/Teacher of The Shepherd’s /faculty-and-staff/stephen-daveyChurch, and President of Wisdom International.

Stephen received this award at the recommendation of fellow DTS alumni and the DTS Alumni Committee for Distinguished Service Awards. They chose him based on his years of dedication to all three ministries listed above; he was also commended for his passion and precision in understanding, applying, and living the truths of Scripture.

Greg Hatteberg, Director of Alumni at DTS, presented Stephen with the award. As part of the weekend festivities, Mark Bailey, Chancellor of DTS spoke to the congregation in the morning services.

The presentation took place on May 15, 2022, during Sunday morning worship services at The Shepherd’s Church and again at the Shepherds Theological Seminary commencement ceremony that evening. Additionally, Stephen received one of 70-year-old chairs, used by DTS Faculty, from the platform in the original Chafer Chapel.
