Stephen Pritchett

Assistant Professor of Counseling

 

 

Dr. Prichett is an Assistant Professor of Practical Theology. His main area of teaching is within the scope of Biblical Counseling. Dr. Pritchett has over twenty-five years of counseling in the local church. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University (MSU), as well as a Master of Divinity degree in Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). Additionally, he obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS).

Dr. Pritchett currently serves as the Pastor of Care and Counseling and Director of Counseling at The Shepherd’s Church, a position he has held for the past eighteen years. His doctoral work centered around lay counseling training in the local church. Dr. Pritchett continues to grow and develop the lay counseling ministry at The Shepherd’s Church.

Dr. Pritchett has been married to his wife, Kim, for 33 years. They have two children, Madison who is 22 years old and Parker who is 18 years old. He enjoys reading, golfing, and watching all sports.
